Going to the gym might be the last thing on your mind as a parent, but it is important to take care of yourself and your health so that you can tackle parenting head-on. With at least 700 locations worldwide, Gold’s Gym is convenient and easily accessible. But does Gold’s Gym have childcare?

Gold’s Gym has Kids Club, a drop-off babysitting service for children 6 months to 11 years for members with either a regular or GoldsFit membership. Typically Kids Club hours are 8 am-2 pm and 4 pm-9 pm on weekdays and 8:30 am-1:30 pm on the weekends. Because Gold’s Gym franchises are independently owned, not all locations will offer childcare services.

Keep reading as we delve into the childcare options that Gold’s Gym offers and what to do if your local Gold’s Gym does not offer babysitting services.

Does Gold’s Gym provide childcare or kid care?

As parents, it’s important to take the time to relax and maintain our own health even as we ensure that our children are cared for. If your self-care routine involves hitting the treadmill (some Gold’s Gym locations even have a sauna!), the hardest part of your workout may actually be finding the time away from your child.

Gold’s Gym has Kids Club, a drop-off babysitting service offered to their members. They pride themselves on creating a fun and educational environment for your kids while you work out. Kids Club enables kids to participate in age-appropriate activities, arts and crafts, and nurtures social interactions between kids.

The biggest advantage of Kids Club is that it will give you peace of mind as a parent. You don’t have to rush through your workout since your kid is in the same location as you. You will also have the ability to check in on your kid to ease any concerns you have. You can focus on your workout and reaching your fitness goals, thanks to Kids Club.

Since Gold’s Gym locations are independently-owned franchises, some locations will have Kids’ Club while some don’t.

This also applies to the different rules or guidelines that they have, including cost. To get the best information, it is best to contact your local Gold’s Gym for more information.

What is Kids Club at Gold’s Gym

Kids Club is a drop-in babysitting program that is offered by Gold’s Gym for its members. Kids are in a safe and secure environment because nobody else can enter the gym without the proper credentials.

The kids will have the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate activities. They can also have homework help because some locations hire teachers or tutors to look after the kids. Kids also have the option to participate in arts and crafts or play with the other kids in the club.

What hours for Kids Club?

Gold’s Gym Kids Club hours vary by location because each franchisee can set their own schedule.

Typical Kids Club hours are:

  • Monday-Friday – 8:00 am – 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday – 8:30 am – 1:30 pm

Since the hours vary by location, it is better to ask your local Gold’s Gym for their hours.

Another important thing to note is that kids can only be dropped off at the Kids’ Club once a day.

What age for Kids’ Club?

The Kids’ Club can take kids from 6 weeks to 11 years.

Depending on your kid’s age, he might be able to stay from 1 ½ to 2 hours in the Kids’ Club.

If your kid is 12 years or older, he can work out in Gold’s Gym.

How much is Kids’ Club babysitting?

Gold’s Gym locations are individually-owned, and different locations have different pricing offers for childcare.

Kids’ Club babysitting comes free with a Gold’s Gym regular and GoldsFit membership, which are $29 and $62 a month, respectively. If you don’t have a membership, there is a drop-in rate for your kid to go to Kids Club, and it should be paid with Front Desk before you can drop your kid.

The best way to find out information is by going to your local Gold’s Gym website or contacting them directly.

Is Kids Club babysitting worth it?

Fitness center childcare is more for your peace of mind so that you don’t have to rush through a workout worrying about your kids. Since they deal with kids, all teachers are CPR certified and passed a background check.

The Kids Club is also a secure location that not everybody can access. Most locations have a secure door and you have to be buzzed in to be granted access to the club. This is a big deal for parents because you don’t want to leave your kids where anybody can walk in, and it is not a secure location. Gold’s Gym prides itself in fostering a safe and secure environment not just for its members but for kids as well.

For most parents, any kind of childcare while they work out is worth it, but Gold’s Gym offers more than simply watching your child.

Kids Club is a fun environment where children learn and play. They can participate in different activities like arts and crafts, sports, and play games. They can even enlist the help of their teachers for homework help.

Alternative childcare options

While it seems like most Gold’s Gym locations offer some form of childcare, not every location will.

If your local Gold’s Gym does not offer babysitting services, you can look into different options:

  • Look for a local daycare close to the gym – Local daycares sometimes partner up with gyms and they can give discounts to members.
  • Schedule it with your partner – Draft a timeline when you work out and communicate this with your partner so that they can stay with your kids while you work out.
  • Work out with your kid – If your kid is 12 years and up he is old enough to work out according to your specific location’s guidelines, you can bring him into the workout with you. This will enable you to spend time with them while working on your fitness.
  • Partner up with a fellow parent who also goes to the gym – You can find a parent who is also looking for childcare, and you can watch their kid while they workout and vice-versa.
